30th day - 185 miles

Today was my last full day in Alaska. After saying goodbye to C.D. at the Copper Moose Lodge (and having enjoyed one more of his great breakfasts), I turned north again towards Tok. The Wrangell Mountains were passing by me on the right for a last time while the sun, peaking through the cloudy sky, illuminated the vast forests in front of me. It’s hard for me to describe this landscape and pictures seem to be too small to do it justice. But these huge mountain ranges, endless seas of green forests with silver glistening bands of water running through it and the big sky above it are nothing but awe-inspiring.
