33rd day - 34 miles

Dusk to Dawn 2010 is the name of the party everybody came to Dawson City for. They rode their bikes from as far as Perth, Australia or as close as just over the border from Anchorage, Alaska. An adventure rider is what they like to call themselves and Harley Davidson can’t be found anywhere. Tall stubby knobbed BMWs, KTMs and KLRs (Kawasaki) are the preferred choice of transportation and the dirt their bikes are covered with is sign of a good trip rather than an indication of the owner’s cleanliness. This was my last day in Dawson City and tomorrow I am starting to head towards home. But as they say in Canada: no worry. There will be a lot more to see and to report about.

Dredge No. 4 is the largest wooden hull, bucket line dredge in North America.

View of Dawson from the Dome, a tall round mountain peak above the city.

View to the Yukon Valley.

The Governors Residence.

Upscale Hotel in Dawson City.

Not so upscale...

Typical street scene in Dawson.

The Palace Grand Theater. A miners favorite.

The official "Dusk to Dawn" dinner at the theater.

Diamond Tooth Gerties - a local casino.

Vaudeville show at Gerties.

Midnight on "Main Street". Grand Finale of the Dusk to Dawn. One last chance to show off your "ride".
